So…last week was rough (any week in which you are repeatedly googling medical terms usually is)…but I feel that a corner has been turned and things are going to get better. (At least that’s what I’m telling myself!)
I was able to make some cards yesterday, though, which certainly improved the mood. What do you think?

(yes, this is a total lift from Nichole’s card here)

The new Everyday Button Bits stamp set from Papertrey Ink is fab…and I’m having a blast actually USING some of those buttons I’ve been hoarding.
Ok, so true, the last one doesn’t have any buttons…in all honesty, I actually made it about a month ago. But it’s been sitting here on my desk (yes, I have a recipient in mind), so I decided to throw it into the photo shoot.
Supplies? I bet y’all can figure them all out…but if you can’t, just give me a shout-out. Most of ‘em are from PTI.
Thanks for looking…
Peace out

Here are some new cards that will be going in the shop in the next couple of days:
The ol’ bloggo has sort of fallen by the wayside, what with those pesky kids being such the time-consuming things they are. No sworn vows or anything, but I’m hoping to be better about posting.
Oh, and card supplies: patterned paper mostly from the BG Ambrosia neat-o 6×6 pad and the brown is from Offbeat, with some bits of Scenic Route (the little leaves) and Cosmo Cricket (the blueish lined paper) and the blue with white polka dots in from My Mind’s Eye Breaking Free line; buttons from BG; cardstock, ribbons and inks are all Papertrey Ink; stamps from Paper Source, Hero Arts (the cursive ‘hello’) and Inkadinkado (the ‘Happy Birthday’)…*phew*…I’m sure there’s something I forgot…
HaveĀ a great day…and thanks for reading…

It’s another sunny day and the kids want to stay longer.

…but sometimes they are sweet together.
Exhibit A:

I will try to remember this as we’re at Chuck E. Cheese celebrating Thing 2’s birthday in an hour.

Especially the kind that won’t leave lingering ill-effects on the hips??

{cardstock, ribbon, stamp: PTI; patterned paper: Doodlebug; embossing folders: Cuttlebug; cupcake magnet: Michaels; Top Note die, border punch: SU!}
Sorry it’s already in the envelope! I didn’t remember to photograph it until I had already sealed it up!
Ok, no major promises, but I’m going to try try try to be better about posting…

I came across this little box for smoked almonds and was flattening it to put in the recycling and I thought, Hey, this would be easy enough to make…maybe a little window in the front…this could be super cute! I wrestled with Apple Works a little and lo and behold, I finally came up with a template that actually turns into something!

[Please excuse the less-than-stellar photos.]
Supplies: Papertrey Ink (Raspberry Fizz cardstock, Heart Prints stamps, Dark Chocolate Swiss Dot ribbon, transparency from a stamp set), Cuttlebug Tiny Tags die, Swiss Dot embossing folder and EK Success medium heart punch…and my template: treatbox1
This was my first model. It’s certainly easy enough to dress it up more. I love the potential!
(I had some trouble getting dotted lines, so the score lines are more gray than dotted. The cut lines are the heavier black ones. The optional window is, well, pretty obvious. I was thinking that next time I’d try one of the Spellbinders Label One dies for the window. I think that might look sharp!)
Thanks for looking…and enjoy!

I’m looking forward to getting a jump-start on some card sets for end-of-the-school-year teacher gifts. I don’t have a good track record when it comes to project follow-through, but I’m hoping to turn things around. The boy just started preschool this week (can I get a high five?), so that gives me a glorious 9 hours a week of potential.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing day.

I have a t-shirt that I got at CKC back in September (from the Two Chicks Designs booth) that has “Queen of Unfinished Projects” across the front…and that’s totally what I am right now. December Daily album? Stalled. Christmas cards? Rush job and sent out today. Grand plans for projects for family? Fallen by the way-side.
And what gets me is that I have no good excuse.
The only thing I have accomplished, other than baking a bazillion cookies for gifting and for the gallery, is making a few Thank You cards…
Can I tell you how much I love that Out On A Limb set from PTI???
{thank you} stamp from savvystamps.com
Oh, and the only reason there isn’t ribbon on the card is because I’m trying to make them as mailing-friendly as I can. I love the layers and the ribbon and the dimensional elements, but I h-a-t-e it when the cards get munched by the machine!
